I am rating only high energy older rock dance bands. We don't rate heavy metal, greatfull dead or jam bands, not our thing. Please note, some bands are dance bands and some bands are whst i call FEEL GOODS BANDS. Feel good bands music make you feel good but not high energy dance music. An example of feel good music would be the song Brandi ( she's a fine girl ), not a high energy dance song.

at Bar A friday ( located at 703 16th Ave in Belmar ) starts at 6 pm and ends at 9:30. Bar A is my number 1 pick for OUTDOOR music with its different places to sit or eat and it's big summer stage.
This band MUSHMOUTH is my number 1 pick in the Jersey Shore for rock dance band for the over 40 year olds. The lead singer Bill and his crew are unique because they dance and have fun the entire show. They are a 25 year OVERNIGHT sensation, with a big following now. And my number 1 overall pick for high energy dance bands for those over 40.
NUMBER 2 place to rock this friday is the
EDDIE TESTA band.
He will be playing from 7 pm to 11 pm at at B2 Bistro ( located at 125 Bayview ave in Bayville) and this bar is my number 1 place for inside a bar. Very large dance floor, large stage and all right on the water. Please don't judge it the location because it's 30, min. from Belmar, it's definitely worth the short ride. EDDIE TESTA IS A 50/50 DANCE BAND AND FEEL GOOD BAND WITH MANY FOLLOWERS AND A ICON HERE ON THE SHORE.
SATURDAY picks for 9/6/25
1ST. PICK IS MUSHMOUTH at The Osprey
Located at 201 1st in Manasquan from 8:30 to midnight. Best dance band for the over 40 crowd.
2nd best pick for Saturday is The Pour Boys
At Martells tiki bar from 8 pm to 11 pm, Located at 308 Ocean Ave in Point Pleasant on the boardwalk.
This band not only has great musicians but there lead singer Andrew is out of this world and can do the Rolling Stones to Taylor Swift. Top 3 rock dance bands on the shore.
3rd pick for Saturday - CAPTAIN ERIC AND THE SHIPWRECKS
at the Wharfside Patio bar located at 101 Channel Drive in Point Pleasant outside on the water from 6 pm to 10 pm.
CAPTAIN ERIC'S BAND ARE MUSIC TEACHERS WHO PLAY GREAT COVER DANCE MUSIC.
YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH ANY OF THESE BANDS FRIDAY AND SATURDAY.
